Miscellaneous Watercolor Paintings,1
After being discharged from the military in 1954 I spent the next four years attending the Maryland Institute of Art. After graduating in 1958 I went west to the Bay Area. There I worked in the art field, sketched and painted in watercolor. My wife, Mary Anne, and I travel a lot to sketch and photograph whatever is of interest to us. I seem to like doing series of things such as barns, Anasazi ruins, Anasazi petroglyphs and pictographs, old adobe churches of New Mexico, etc. This all started years ago when we sought out old mining towns of the West. In 1990 Mary Anne and I moved to Prescott, Arizona.

Terracotta Warriors of China
The Terracotta Warriors were discovered near Xian, China in 1974. Over 6,000 Warriors, Horses and Bronze Weapons were found in Pit One. In 1999 when Pit Two was discovered 1,500 Warriors were uncoved and in among them was a green painted Warrior. Altough I sketched these figures in 1982, which had no color on them, I added some color to the figures in these paintings.
